ORSANCO News

ORSANCO 2008 Trends Report
ORSANCO has completed a study of long-term water quality trends using data from the Bimonthly Sampling Program. The study presents the results of an 18-year trend study of the Ohio River and its major tributaries for the period of January 1990 to December 2007. This data was also compared to past ORSANCO trend analyses utilizing data back to 1975.

 

ORSANCO General Information
Since 1948, ORSANCO and its member states have cooperated to improve water quality in the Ohio River Basin so that the river and its tributaries can be used for drinking water, industrial supplies, and recreational purposes; and can support a healthy and diverse aquatic community. ORSANCO operates monitoring programs to check for pollutants and toxins that may interfere with specific uses of the river, and conducts special studies to address emerging water quality issues. - Click here to learn more about ORSANCO
